These three children entered an indoor athletics competition at Lings forum alongside six other schools. They were wonderful abassadors for the school and… THEY WERE GOLD MEDALISTS!

Solilioquy writing…

We wrote a soliloquy from the point of view of Hamlet. We considered how Hamlet might be feeling towards his mother and the questions he may ask her. I was very impressed with the powerful emotive language that Year used within their soliloquy’s.

Year 3 and 4 really enjoyed hot seating King Claudius about the death of his brother, Old Hamlet! They came up with some great questions to uncover the story even further.

We investigated the sounds we could hear in different parts of the school as part of our new science topic. This term we will be exploring sound, learning about how sounds are made and how sound travels.

Year 3 and 4 have spent most of the week participating in a number of drama conventions. I am exceptionally proud of how hard they have worked and how sensible they have been. They are really getting into the minds of the characters, which in turn has inspired some brilliant writing!
